How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Apparel Designer – FILA

    Role Summary

    We are looking for a creative individual who is as passionate about the sport and streetwear. Working across FILA's dedicated SMU lines, Inline Collections and Special Projects, the Designer will be based in our Watford office. This is a unique opportunity for a Designer to work on a variety of projects and bespoke collections, working closely with the senior team.


    As Designer, you must be passionate about design and enthusiastic, with an edgy urban handwriting reflected in your portfolio. An excellent eye for detail and colour is essential, together with knowledge of the current sport and streetwear market.


    Qualifications & Skills

    • 5 years' experience in an apparel design role within the streetwear, activewear and sportswear industry.
    • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Microsoft packages.
    • Experience in research and initial board ideas through to design development and creation of technical diagrams.
    • Knowledge of trends and experience researching trends within the relevant market.
    • Ability to produce accurate and detailed specifications, both freehand and using design programmes.
    • Excellent planning, prioritising and organisational skills to ensure key deadlines are met.
    • Knowledge of garment and fabric construction, with a good understanding of pattern cutting.
    • Highly self-motivated and proactive, with excellent communication skills.
    • A broad interest across various cultural themes, including fashion, music and the arts.


    Roles & Responsibilities

    • Research seasonal trends and key items.
    • Prepare relevant and creative research on themes, colours and fabrics based on the seasonal brief.
    • Initiate original design sketches and technical specifications for styles following the seasonal brief.
    • Research and maintain knowledge of relevant trends and history to advise on silhouettes, finishes and suitability of fabrics.
    • Create mood and trend boards.
    • Work closely with the Design Manager, Product Manager and Sales Team to build seasonal ranges.
    • Maintain up-to-date records of design and development for each style, including fabrication details and print.
    • Prepare specification sheets and technical packs for designs.
    • Follow range plans and critical paths, ensuring all deadlines are respected and strictly adhered to.
    • Attend fit sessions and implement changes into specifications and technical packs, communicating changes to the relevant suppliers.
    • Take responsibility for development samples, ensuring deadlines on the critical path are met.
    • Travel to different locations when required for meetings with clients, brand owners and collaborators.
