How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Lucky Saint – Interim Supply Planner, 9 month FIXED TERM CONTRACT

    Reporting to: Supply Planning Manager

    The Opportunity:

We are looking for an interim Supply Planner to join the team at Lucky Saint on a 9-month fixed-term contract as we continue our mission to become the defining alcohol-free beer. In this role you will be managing all aspects of supply within our network and with a number of partners including breweries, hauliers, packaging suppliers, warehouses and co-packers.

You’ll join at an important time for the team, contributing to peak planning ahead of Dry January and key projects including innovation and the implementation and testing of a new planning system. We’re looking for someone who can get up to speed quickly, work independently and confidently manage the detail, using sound judgement to identify and escalate emerging supply issues.

We are a team who passionately care about the brand and maintaining exceptionally high standards at all touch points of the business. We’re interested in people who want to spearhead a revolution in the industry with us, who are curious, entrepreneurial, commercial and restless to make magic happen.

Our founder, Luke Boase, launched Lucky Saint in late 2018 with an ambition to change the perception of alcohol-free beer and the drinking experience, worldwide. Since the launch of our 0.5% Superior Unfiltered Lager, Lucky Saint has received widespread attention from top industry professionals, the UK’s best operators, and the media.

A day in the life in this role:

You could start with one of the regular meetings we have with our suppliers - having regular review meetings with them is a great opportunity to align on supply forecasts and capacity plans to ensure we’ve the right stocks across raw materials and finished goods.

An important part of our weekly process is putting together our replenishment plans. This could involve deciding on next week’s co-packing requirements, or more long-term brewery production planning.

Part of everyday is checking our KPI’s including stock levels across our sites, life of stock etc. We run a tight ship of weekly and monthly cycle planning, but there is always something exciting going on - maybe a promotion is exceeding plan, or we want to do more stock sampling to support the marketing team! Evaluating options and costs is where you can thrive.

A faster moving part of the role is innovation planning - you’d be meeting frequently with the internal teams to be at the forefront of packaging changes and product innovation.

Your last meeting may be with our Finance team who you’ll work closely with to ensure our financial transactions and costs are processed effectively. This may be as straight forward as resolving any issues and queries that have arisen, but also conversations around about how we can improve process and become more efficient will be high on the agenda.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for generating a 13-week replenishment plan for monthly submissions to our partner breweries
    • Planning inbound loads with hauliers
    • KPI management: Balancing stocks across our sites to ensure OTIF (On Time, In Full) delivery to customers, balanced with COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) budgets and ensuring we mitigate any risks of SLOB (Slow Moving and Obsolete stocks).
    • Planning supply across our network, including copackers and warehouses, including forecasting and executing all co-packing work.
    • Managing procurement and replenishment planning of all packaging components required for production and co-packing.
    • Work closely with Finance to ensure supply-related costs are recorded accurately and on time.
    • Review supplier invoices against agreed pricing, services and stock movements, resolving discrepancies with suppliers and Finance.

Who You Are and What You Bring:

    • Min 3 years in a Supply Planning position managing a portfolio of SKUs or materials
    • Experience managing supplier relationships and 3rd party production sites is preferable
    • FMCG experience an advantage
    • An eye for detail with the ability to prioritise in an agile way
    • Solution focussed approach to problem solving
    • A passion for great customer service; we want to delight our customers.
    • Super organized and methodical in your approach.
    • You should be confident using Excel and an ERP system. Experience with Microsoft 365 Business Central would be an advantage.
    • You are results orientated, think commercially and value every pound.
    • You enjoy being stretched and would welcome the opportunity to be involved in different areas of a fast-growing business.
    • You proactively manage your own workload and also flourish being part of a team

This 9-month fixed-term contract could be particularly well suited to an experienced planner who is immediately or soon to be available and keen to make an impact quickly, with an ideal start date in late October or early November to allow time for a handover.

We are open to someone joining on a full-time basis or to a more senior candidate seeking a part-time role, where the overall fit and experience are right. While the role is initially being recruited on a fixed-term basis, there may also be potential for it to develop into a permanent opportunity.

    What’s in it for you:

    • Pro rata Supply Planner salary (discussed on first call)
    • 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays (pro rata)
    • 3% employer pension contribution, 5% optional employee contribution
    • Lucky Saint allowance each month
    • Unlimited Lucky Saint and 40% off food and drink at The Lucky Saint pub
    • Flexible working

*This role is being managed by Lucky Saint's retained hiring partner Two Recruitment, who will be in contact to arrange an initial call if your application is successful.

At Lucky Saint we believe that a diverse team of enthusiastic, hard-working, skilled people is pivotal to our success.
