This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced MRICS Building Surveyor to take on a senior position within a highly respected consultancy, working with major clients and a diverse portfolio of property across London and the wider UK.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to take ownership of client relationships, deliver complex professional instructions and lead a variety of building surveying projects, while playing an important role in the continued growth of the wider team.
The Role
As a Senior Chartered Building Surveyor, you will be involved in:
Leading a broad range of professional building surveying instructions.
Undertaking technical due diligence, building and condition surveys.
Preparing detailed technical reports and schedules of works.
Providing defect diagnosis and strategic property advice.
Delivering project-based instructions from inception through to completion.
Preparing specifications, tender documentation and contract administration.
Acting as Contract Administrator on a range of refurbishment and maintenance projects.
Managing client relationships and developing repeat business.
Supporting junior surveyors and contributing to the development of the wider team.
Working collaboratively with project managers, quantity surveyors, engineers and other multidisciplinary professionals.
You will have considerable autonomy within the role, with the opportunity to work across a varied client portfolio and take responsibility for technically challenging and commercially significant instructions.
About You
The ideal candidate will be:
MRICS qualified with a Building Surveying degree or relevant equivalent qualification.
Experienced within a consultancy environment.
Strong across both professional and project-based building surveying.
Technically competent with excellent knowledge of building pathology and construction.
Experienced in contract administration, specifications and project delivery.
Confident managing client relationships and delivering a high level of service.
Commercially aware with the ability to identify opportunities and contribute to business development.
A strong communicator who can work effectively with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
Keen to take the next step in their career within a large, established consultancy.
