How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Are you an experienced Payroll Administrator with great IT skills, ideally you will be experienced with using Sage,. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, takes pride in getting the details right, and wants to be part of a team that values accuracy, This is a 9 month contract which could go permanent and there is a salary of up £26,000.

    The Role:

    Process end-to-end weekly and monthly payroll, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail..

    Ensure payroll is processed efficiently and in line with statutory obligations and internal procedures.

    Carry out manual payroll calculations where required, including adjustments, deductions and statutory payments.

    Respond to payroll queries in a clear, friendly and timely manner.

    Upload pension calculations and submissions for a range of pension providers.

    Build positive working relationships with colleagues, contributing to a supportive and collaborative team environment.

    Assist the wider payroll team with administrative tasks, deadlines and process improvements where needed.

    About You:

    A careful and accurate approach, with strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail.

    A positive team player who is also confident working independently and taking ownership of their workload.

    Friendly and professional communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients and colleagues.

    A proactive, organised and dependable approach to work.

    Ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines and remain calm during busy payroll periods.

    Additional Information:

    You will be working 9am until 5pm with a 4pm finish on a Friday
