How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    About our Client
    Our Client is a CQC-regulated domiciliary care provider commissioned by Haringey Council to deliver homecare hours across the borough, offering tailored support including personal care, medication prompts, meal preparation, and reablement through a team of trained care workers, underpinned by electronic care records and a quality assurance framework that enable real-time monitoring, safeguarding compliance, and continuous improvement to enhance client wellbeing; the organisation is now seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Manager to lead the service, ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards while championing dignity, independence, and wellbeing for every individual in its care.
    Purpose of the Role
    The Registered Manager holds overall responsibility for the day-to-day operational management of the service, ensuring compliance with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) fundamental standards and all relevant legislation. The postholder will lead, motivate, and develop the staff team, drive continuous improvement, and act as the registered person accountable to CQC for the quality and safety of care delivered.
    Key Responsibilities
    Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance
    * Hold and maintain CQC registration as the Registered Manager, ensuring the service consistently meets the fundamental standards and key lines of enquiry (Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, Well-led).
    * Ensure policies, procedures, and practices remain up to date and reflect current legislation, including the Health and Social Care Act 2008, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and Care Act 2014.
    * Lead on internal audits, quality assurance checks, and action plans arising from CQC inspections or internal reviews.
    * Maintain accurate, up-to-date care records, risk assessments, and support plans in line with regulatory and organisational requirements.
    Leadership & Staff Management
    * Onboard, induct, supervise, and appraise care staff, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and skill mix at all times.
    * Provide strong, visible leadership, fostering a positive, open, and person-centred culture within the team.
    * Deliver and oversee staff training, ensuring compliance with mandatory training requirements and supporting ongoing professional development.
    * Manage staff performance, conduct, and disciplinary matters in line with HR policy and employment law.
    * Organise and participate in an on-call rota to provide out-of-hours management support.
    Care Delivery & Safeguarding
    * Ensure care and support delivered is person-centred, promotes independence, dignity, and choice, and is tailored to individual needs and preferences.
    * Act as the lead for safeguarding, ensuring staff understand their responsibilities and that concerns are reported, investigated, and escalated appropriately.
    * Oversee risk management, incident reporting, and lessons-learned processes to continuously improve safety.
    * Build and maintain positive relationships with service users, families, and representatives, ensuring effective communication and complaint resolution.
    Operational & Financial Management
    * Manage the service's operational budget, monitoring spend against targets and identifying efficiencies.
    * Oversee occupancy/referrals and liaise with commissioners, local authorities, and other referral partners as applicable.
    * Ensure the working environment, equipment, and resources meet health and safety and infection control standards.
    * Maintain effective record-keeping systems and ensure timely, accurate reporting to senior management and external bodies.
    Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement
    * Represent the organisation professionally with external stakeholders, including CQC, local authorities, healthcare professionals, and regulatory bodies.
    * Build strong multi-agency relationships to support effective care planning and service development.
    * Support business development activity, including contributing to tenders, contract reviews, and service improvement initiatives where required
    Business Growth & Expansion
    * Lead and support the strategic growth of into new local authority areas, identifying opportunities for service expansion.
    * Build relationships with commissioners and stakeholders in prospective local authorities to support new referrals, contracts, and framework agreements.
    * Work with senior management to develop plans and business cases for extending the service into additional local authorities.
    * Contribute to tenders, pitches, and provider assessments for new local authority contracts, ensuring the service's quality and compliance standing supports successful bids.
    * Ensure operational readiness (staffing, systems, compliance) to support the onboarding of new local authority contracts as the service grows
