TeacherActive is recruiting reliable Exam Invigilators to support schools and colleges throughout upcoming mock and formal examination periods.
Previous experience is welcome but not essential, as guidance and training will be provided. This is an excellent opportunity for teaching assistants, cover supervisors, university students, retired professionals or anyone looking for flexible, term-time work.
The role will include:
Preparing examination rooms and checking seating arrangements
Distributing and collecting examination papers
Supervising candidates throughout examinations
Ensuring examination regulations are followed
Responding appropriately to candidate queries
Reporting any irregularities to the Exams Officer
Escorting candidates when required
Maintaining a calm, professional and secure examination environment
The successful Exam Invigilator will:
Be punctual, reliable and highly organised
Have excellent attention to detail
Remain calm and alert during lengthy examination sessions
Communicate clearly and professionally
Follow instructions and examination procedures precisely
Be available for morning and/or afternoon sessions
Have a good understanding of safeguarding
Be willing to complete the required vetting and compliance checks
