Site Manager

Carmichael UK are recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to join a major contractor delivering a significant package of landscaping and drainage works on the HS2 project in Northamptonshire.

This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a challenging section of works on one of the UK's largest infrastructure projects, managing site activities safely, efficiently and to programme while maintaining the highest standards of quality and environmental compliance.

Responsibilities

Managing day-to-day delivery of landscaping and drainage works

Leading site teams, subcontractors and suppliers to achieve programme milestones

Ensuring works are delivered safely and in accordance with company procedures

Monitoring productivity, quality and progress across multiple work fronts

Coordinating labour, plant and materials requirements

Working closely with engineering, commercial and project management teams

Managing inspections, permits, temporary works and site documentation

Driving a positive health, safety and environmental culture on site

Liaising with stakeholders and ensuring compliance with HS2 requirements

Requirements

Proven experience as a Site Manager delivering civil engineering projects

Strong background in landscaping, soft landscaping, hard landscaping and drainage works

Experience managing subcontractors and direct labour teams

Excellent understanding of health, safety and environmental standards

Ability to drive programme delivery while maintaining quality standards

Strong communication and leadership skills
