The Position - SEMH Teaching Assistant
A welcoming primary school in Lambeth is seeking a committed and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. The successful SEMH Teaching Assistant will support pupils who require additional help with their social, emotional and mental health needs. You will work closely with the class teacher and wider pastoral team to provide a calm, structured and supportive environment where pupils feel safe and able to engage with their learning. You may be supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis or within small groups, helping them manage their emotions, develop positive relationships and build confidence within the classroom. The school is looking for someone who is patient, resilient and understanding, with the ability to build strong relationships with children who may have experienced difficulties with behaviour, emotional regulation or engagement in education.
