How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

If you are working as a Construction Administrator, Site Administrator, Project Administrator or Technical Administrator and want a role with more scope, this could be the right next step.

An established construction contractor in Corby is looking for a Junior Document Controller to join its Design Management team. Previous document control experience is not essential, as full training will be provided.

You will learn how to manage drawings, technical documents and project information across live construction projects, while working alongside experienced Design Managers and project teams.

The position would suit someone with construction administration experience, strong attention to detail and an interest in developing a long-term career in document control.

    The Role

You will help control and distribute project drawings, technical documents and correspondence, making sure information is accurate, current and easy for project teams to access.

Working with Design Managers, site teams, commercial teams, subcontractors, consultants and clients, you will keep document registers and project records organised across several live schemes.

    Responsibilities

    * Upload, issue and track construction drawings and technical documents

    * Maintain document registers, trackers and electronic filing systems

    * Monitor drawing revisions and keep project records up to date

    * Issue project correspondence and technical information

    * Support Design Managers and project teams with document control

    * Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and site teams

    * Prepare reports using Excel and internal document management systems

    * Archive project documents in line with company procedures

    * Provide general construction administration support when needed

    Skills & Experience Required

    * Experience in construction administration, site administration, project administration or a similar role

    * Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook

    * Accurate, organised and comfortable managing several priorities

    * Clear written and verbal communication skills

    * Confident working with different project teams and external contacts

    * Willing to learn new systems and document control processes

    * Interested in construction drawings, technical information and design management

    Why Apply?

This is a practical route into document control for someone who already understands a construction office or project environment but has not yet held a Document Controller title.

You will receive hands-on training, learn the systems used to manage drawings and project information, and have a clear opportunity to progress within the Design Management team.
