We are currently recruiting for experienced CNC Punch Operators for a long-term manufacturing opportunity.
There are two fixed shift options available, allowing you to choose between a morning or night shift.
Shift Options & Pay
Morning Shift
06:00 – 14:30
Monday to Friday
£14.00 – £16.00 per hour, depending on experience
Night Shift
22:00 – 06:00
Monday to Friday
£15.00 – £18.44 per hour, depending on experience
Overtime is available and paid at premium rates.
The Role
As a CNC Punch Operator, you will be responsible for operating CNC punching machinery and producing high-quality sheet metal components to specification.
Your duties will include:
* Operating a range of Trumpf CNC Punch machines,
* Setting up tooling and machinery for production
* Working from engineering drawings, templates and specifications
* Maintaining tooling and ensuring machinery operates efficiently
* Loading and unloading materials
* Working with fully automated material handling systems
* Carrying out quality checks on completed products
* Identifying and reporting any quality issues
* Maintaining a clean and organised working area
* Complying with all health and safety standards across the shop floor
About You
We are looking for candidates with previous CNC Punching experience who can work accurately and efficiently within a manufacturing environment.
You should have:
* Previous experience operating CNC Punch machinery
* Good knowledge of CNC punching and sheet metal processes
* Experience setting and changing tooling
* Ability to work from engineering drawings, templates and specifications
* Good attention to detail and quality awareness
* Ability to identify and resolve basic production issues
* Good understanding of health and safety within a manufacturing environment
* Reliable and hardworking approach
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
