How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

WeDoData are supporting a leading further education organisation with the appointment of a Vice Principal – Student Experience.

This is a senior leadership position with responsibility for driving curriculum development, quality improvement and an outstanding student experience.

You’ll play a key role in shaping the organisation’s Skills and Enterprise Strategy, developing strategic partnerships and ensuring the curriculum continues to meet the needs of learners, employers and the wider skills agenda.

    Key responsibilities

    * Lead strategic curriculum development and delivery, ensuring it is responsive to learner and industry needs.

    * Drive quality improvement, assurance and compliance across the organisation.

    * Provide leadership across MIS and Student Support, ensuring effective services for staff and learners.

    * Lead on statutory and regulatory requirements, including safeguarding, Prevent and data protection.

    * Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, funding bodies, quality agencies and partner organisations.

    * Work as part of the Executive Team, contributing to wider organisational strategy and priorities.

    * Support initiatives that improve student outcomes, learning and teaching, and the overall learner journey.

    About you:

We’re looking for an experienced senior leader with a strong background in the further education/college sector. You’ll need:

    * A degree-level qualification or equivalent experience, alongside a teaching qualification.

    * Significant experience leading curriculum design, quality improvement or related strategic initiatives.

    * Strong knowledge of the college sector and experience working with a range of stakeholders.

    * Proven ability to lead and influence at all levels of an organisation.

    * Excellent partnership-building and communication skills.

    * A strong focus on quality, standards and improving outcomes for students.

    * The confidence to lead change, encourage innovation and work effectively in a complex environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced education leader looking to take on a high-profile strategic role with genuine influence over curriculum, quality and the student experience.

If you would like to discuss the opportunity informally, please contact Chelsea at WeDoData for a confidential conversation, or apply as soon as possible.

If this role isn't quite right for you but you know someone who could be a good fit, please feel free to share the opportunity with them.

WeDoData (Bristol) Ltd is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff, applicants, and clients to share this commitment. Any appointment will be made subject to strict vetting and screening checks and receipt of a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.

In accordance with the DfE statutory guidance ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’, this may also include an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted applicants
