How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Service Coordinator / Administrator
    Fareham
    12 month FTC
    £29,100

    Are you an organised, confident administrator who enjoys keeping things running smoothly?
    We are looking for a Service Coordinator / Administrator to join a busy maintenance and repairs team. You’ll play a key role in coordinating operatives and subcontractors, managing appointments, keeping systems up to date and ensuring customers receive an efficient, professional service.

    This is a varied role where strong organisation, attention to detail and excellent communication skills are essential.
    You’ll be proactive, reliable and customer-focused, with the ability to work well under pressure and use your own initiative.

    The Role
    Your responsibilities will include:

    Coordinating daily schedules for operatives and subcontractors.

    Allocating the right people to jobs based on skills, availability and location.

    Managing repair appointments and ensuring works are completed on time.

    Updating systems and maintaining accurate records.

    Managing shared inboxes and responding to customer and internal queries.

    Recording information from operatives, subcontractors and clients.

    Ordering materials and equipment when required.

    Supporting customer satisfaction surveys and monthly reporting.

    Identifying and escalating issues to the Service or Contract Manager.

    Supporting the team to deliver an excellent customer experience.
    About You
    We're looking for someone with:

    Previous administration, coordination, scheduling or customer service experience.

    Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

    Excellent attention to detail and accurate data-entry skills.

    Strong organisational and communication skills.

    The ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.

    A good understanding of geographical areas and route planning.

    Ideally, some knowledge of building maintenance or different trades.
    Hours
    8am – 5pm Monday to Friday & must be able to commit to a 12 month fixed term contract
