We are currently looking for an experienced and reliable Machinist to join our team based in the S43 area of Chesterfield.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong engineering/manufacturing background who takes pride in producing high-quality work and is confident working in a busy workshop environment.
The Role
As a Machinist, your responsibilities will include:
* Operating and setting machinery safely and efficiently
* Machining components to required specifications and tolerances
* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
* Carrying out quality checks on finished components
* Using workshop tools and measuring equipment
* Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
* Working as part of a team to meet production targets and deadlines
* Following all company health & safety procedures
About You
We are looking for someone who:
* Has previous experience working as a Machinist within a manufacturing or engineering environment
* Can read and understand engineering drawings
* Has good attention to detail and takes pride in their work
* Is reliable, hardworking and able to work independently
* Has a good understanding of workshop health & safety
* Must hold a valid FLT (Forklift Truck) licence
* Previous experience with relevant machinery would be advantageous
