Job Title:            Purchasing Manager
Hours:                Monday to Friday 08:00 – 16:30 – Office based
Salary:               £40,000 - £45,000 (DOE)
Contract:            Permanent
Location:            Southport

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Purchasing Manager for a well-established client, who are a market leader within their sector with over 100 years of experience.

As a Purchasing Manager, you will provide a proactive and qualitive purchasing function of the organisation covering approximate £12 million spend per annum

 As the Purchasing Manager your duties & responsibilities will be;

Work closely with the Operations Director and Senior Management Team in the development and implementation of the Purchasing strategy.
Actively deliver for the business monthly / annual objectives
Maintain a strong business relationship and successfully influence cost savings within the company
Identify appropriate order levels, place orders and monitor accuracy of reordered inventory shipments received
Lead, direct, motivate and manage appropriate purchasing team activities to satisfy the business needs
Maintain accurate purchasing stock and records of costs
Negotiate contracts for services
Provide appropriate input to the new products development process

The successful Purchasing Manager will have the following skills/experience;

CIPS Qualified 
Previous experience within a similar role
Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal
IT literate 
Ability to manage carious personal and team’s priorities at the same time
Ability to manager and deliver own workload
Experience managing international suppliers would be an advantage
