How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Salary: £27,000 – £30,000 per year + bonuses and benefits.
    Full-time | Field Based | UK-wide travel | Company Car fully insured and maintained for both business and personal use.

    Make a difference to people's health at work

    Wellness International Ltd. is growing, and we are looking for a motivated, professional and people-focused Occupational Health Technician to join our expanding team.

    This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, travelling to different locations and having a role where no two days are necessarily the same.

    You will work with a wide range of organisations across the UK, delivering occupational health and health surveillance services to employees in different workplaces and industries.

    This is a field-based role, so you should be comfortable travelling extensively across the UK and staying away from home for up to 4 nights per week, Monday to Friday.

    Don't worry about the logistics as our dedicated bookings team arranges and pays for your hotel accommodation, while you will be provided with a fully maintained and insured company car for both business and personal use.

    As an Occupational Health Technician, you will deliver a range of health surveillance and fitness-to-work assessments at client sites.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    * Carrying out health surveillance and fitness-to-work assessments.

    * Taking and recording blood pressure measurements.

    * Performing spirometry.

    * Conducting audiometry/hearing tests.

    * Undertaking vision testing.

    * Carrying out phlebotomy/venepuncture and blood sampling.

    * Completing urinalysis.

    * Accurately recording clinical information and test results.

    * Ensuring assessments are completed in accordance with Wellness International procedures and client requirements.

    * Maintaining high standards of professionalism, confidentiality and patient care.

    * Working independently at client sites while remaining fully supported by the wider Wellness International team.

    * Managing your time effectively to ensure appointments and daily schedules run smoothly.

    * Maintaining and using occupational health equipment appropriately.

    * Representing Wellness International professionally when working with clients and their employees.

    Full training and support will be provided where required, so you don't need to have experience in every area listed above.

    We are looking for someone who is confident, reliable, organised and comfortable working independently.

    You might already have experience in occupational health, healthcare, health surveillance, exercise science, personal training or social care , or you may be looking to take your existing skills into a new career.

    Desirable experience or qualifications

    Any of the following would be advantageous:

    Previous health surveillance or occupational health experience.

    Sports & Exercise Science degree.

    Personal Training qualification.

    Social Care or another health-related degree.

    Industrial Spirometry qualification.

    Audiometry qualification.

    First Aid qualification or training.

    Healthcare or occupational health experience is beneficial but not essential. We are particularly interested in candidates who demonstrate the right attitude, professionalism and willingness to learn.

    Essential requirements

    You must:

    Hold a valid UK driving licence for more than 2 years.

    Be comfortable with extensive UK travel and overnight stays of up to 4 nights per week, Monday–Friday.

    Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
