How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Maintenance & Facilities Co-ordinator

Pay: Up to £20 per hour

    Hours: Part-time - flexible

    Location: Stansted Abbotts (site-based)

    Contract: 9-month contract (possible extension)

    Start: ASAP

A leading technology manufacturer is looking for a reliable, proactive Maintenance & Facilities Co-ordinator to support day-to-day site facilities activity. This is a coordination and admin-led role-ideal for someone with a school caretaker / senior caretaker / facilities coordinator background who enjoys keeping things running smoothly and liaising across multiple teams to organise remedial works and resolve maintenance issues across the factory.

This position is not hands-on maintenance or electrical work. It's about logging issues, coordinating contractors, chasing actions and keeping accurate records. If this sounds like something you'd be interested in, we'd like to hear from you.

The role (what you'll be doing)

    * Act as a site caretaker / property co-ordinator, supporting site facilities activity

    * Coordinate maintenance issues with the facilities management provider, ensuring faults and remedial works are logged, followed up and closed out

    * Monitor waste management requirements and book external collections as needed

    * Liaise with Production and Engineering to ensure site issues are actioned promptly

    * Maintain clear admin records and status updates (primarily coordination rather than hands-on work)

    * Report into the site hiring manager

    Working pattern

    * Part-time with flexibility to suit the right person and site requirements

    * Option 1: mornings, 5 days per week (typically 3-4 hours per day)

    * Option 2: longer shifts across fewer days (e.g. 3 days per week), depending on workload

    * Approximately 20 hours per week in total is desirable

    * The schedule can be agreed based on what ensures maintenance issues are managed, actions are followed through, and the site is supported effectively

    What we're looking for

    * Experience as a school caretaker / senior caretaker / facilities coordinator / site coordinator (or similar)

    * Comfortable working independently and using your initiative

    * Reliable, with strong timekeeping and a practical, can-do attitude

    * Confident communicating with internal teams and external suppliers

    * Google Workspace experience preferred (especially Google Sheets)

    Please note

    * This role is coordination-focused, not trade-based maintenance

    * Some light waste handling may be required

Apply now to be considered for an immediate start following successful interview.
