Our Client are a leading manufacturer in the heart of Gloucester are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Engineer to join the team on days. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both electrical and mechanical systems, demonstrating the ability to maintain and repair equipment efficiently. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the capability to work independently or as part of a team. The Maintenance Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and systems, contributing to overall productivity and safety within the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring optimal performance of all equipment.
Installation and continuous improvement of all plant, machinery, utilities, building and facilities.
Read and interpret schematics to diagnose issues accurately and implement effective solutions.
Assist with machinery controls, programming and PLC related requirements.
Undertake engineering and site projects
Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests and ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify potential issues before they escalate.
Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate records of repairs performed.
What we are looking for
Proven experience in a maintenance engineering role within a manufacturing environment, with a strong emphasis on electrical and mechanical knowledge.
Appropriate qualifications and time served experience.
Familiarity with schematics and logic controllers is highly desirable.
Flexible approach, a team player with a willingness to continually learn.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, enabling clear interaction with team members and stakeholders.
A customer-focused attitude with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
Working Hours
7-45am - 4.45pm Mon - Thurs and 7.45am-12.30pm on a Friday.
