How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Revenue Manager - Hotel

    Truro, Cornwall

    £40,000

    Role Purpose

To own and execute the hotel's revenue strategy across rooms and ancillary streams, driving RevPAR, total revenue and profitability through data-led pricing, inventory, segmentation and distribution decisions. The Revenue Manager will act as the commercial hub between operations, sales, marketing, reservations and finance, ensuring a disciplined revenue culture and accurate forecasting that supports board-level planning.

    Key Responsibilities

    Revenue Strategy & Pricing

    * Develop and implement a dynamic, seasonally aware revenue plan for rooms, suites, packages and length-of-stay controls aligned to the hotel's luxury positioning and Cornwall demand patterns.

    * Set and maintain rate structures, restrictions and supplements across all channels (direct, OTA, GDS, wholesale, groups) with strict rate-parity governance.

    * Lead weekly revenue strategy meetings, presenting pick-up, pace, competitive set and market intelligence to agree tactical pricing and inventory actions.

    Forecasting, Budgeting & Reporting

    * Produce accurate rolling forecasts (daily, weekly, monthly, 3‑month and full-year) for rooms and contribute to F&B, spa and events outlooks for budgeting and cash-flow planning.

    * Monitor KPIs (RevPAR, ADR, occupancy, market share, channel mix, direct vs OTA) and report risks/opportunities to senior leadership with clear recommended actions.

    * Support annual budget creation and long-range planning with scenario modelling for demand generators (school holidays, events, weather-sensitive leisure, corporate/MICE).

    Systems, Data & Distribution

    * Own day-to-day management of the PMS/RMS and channel manager, ensuring data integrity, pricing rules and automation are correctly configured.

    * Optimise OTA extranets and direct booking engine content, offers and merchandising to improve conversion and reduce commission dependency.

    * Use market intelligence tools to benchmark performance and anticipate competitor moves.

    Commercial Collaboration

    * Partner with Sales & Marketing to design promotions, packages and campaigns that protect rate integrity while stimulating demand in low periods.

    * Work with Reservations and Front Office to embed upselling, negotiation and yield-aware booking practices.

    * Align with F&B, spa and events teams on cross-sell opportunities, minimum spends and displacement analysis for group business.

    Revenue Culture & Training

    * Build hotel-wide understanding of revenue principles through training, dashboards and clear SOPs so every team member understands their impact on yield.

    * Mentor reservations/revenue coordinators and support succession planning within the commercial team.

    Person Specification

    Experience

    * 3+ years in hotel revenue management, with exposure to luxury or independent boutique properties and strong seasonality markets.

    * Proven track record of improving RevPAR/total revenue through pricing, channel optimisation and forecasting accuracy.

    * Hands-on experience with PMS/RMS, channel managers and OTA extranets; advanced Excel and comfortable with BI/reporting tools.

    Skills & Competencies

    * Highly analytical with strong numerical reasoning and business acumen.

    * Strategic thinker who can translate data into clear, actionable commercial plans.

    * Excellent communicator and team builder, able to influence senior stakeholders and train operational teams.

    * Composed under pressure, adaptable to fast-changing demand with positive energy (e.g., weather, events, cancellations).

    What We Offer

    * A pivotal role in a respected, independent luxury hotel with board-level visibility.

    * Opportunity to shape strategy across rooms and ancillaries in a high-ADR, experience-led property.

    * A commitment to giving you five-star colleague experience that reflects the service we provide to our guests. In return, we do everything we can to make this a place where you will thrive.

    * Fantastic benefits & perks, genuine respect for your role, great team meals with additional fresh fruit available all day and many social events throughout the year
