How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Independent Domestic Violence Advocate ( IDVA )

    Location: Warwickshire
    Salary: £15.50 - £19 pounds an hour (dependent on pay status and experience.) 
    Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 4:30pm
    Contract: Temporary, minimum 3 months
    Working Pattern: Hybrid - up to 2 days working from home

    Supporting Futures are recruiting for an experienced IDVA to join a specialist domestic abuse service in Warwickshire.

    The role involves managing a caseload of approximately 30, predominantly high-risk survivors, providing specialist domestic abuse support, risk assessment, safety planning, advocacy and safeguarding.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Manage a complex caseload of approximately 30 clients.
    Complete risk and needs assessments and safety planning.
    Provide specialist advocacy and support.
    Work closely with Police, Housing, Children's Services and other partner agencies.
    Attend and contribute to MARAC meetings.
    Support clients with court proceedings where required.
    Maintain regular contact with clients, including at least fortnightly engagement.

    Essential Requirements:

    Previous experience as an IDVA or Domestic Abuse Practitioner.
    Experience managing a busy and complex caseload.
    Strong understanding of domestic abuse, risk and safeguarding.
    Excellent communication, organisation and prioritisation skills.
    Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
    Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or issued within the last 12 months.
    Able to work independently and as part of a multi-agency teamSupporting Futures Consulting acts as both an employer and an agency.
