The Opportunity
A well-established precision engineering manufacturer supplying highly regulated industries is seeking an experienced CNC Turner Programmer/Setter/Operator to join their growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist to work on a diverse range of components, from one-off prototypes through to medium batch production runs, predominantly machining aluminium and stainless steel materials.
Key Responsibilities
Programming, setting and operating CNC Turning machines with Fanuc controls.
Producing high-precision components to engineering drawings and specifications.
Interpreting technical drawings, dimensions and geometric tolerances.
Selecting appropriate tooling and machining methods to achieve required quality standards.
Conducting in-process and final inspections using precision measuring equipment.
Completing production and quality documentation accurately.
Maintaining compliance with ISO9001 and AS9100 quality standards.
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining excellent housekeeping standards.
Skills & Experience Required
Essential
Proven experience as a CNC Turner with programming, setting and operating experience.
Strong knowledge of Fanuc Oi-TC and I Series controls.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and tight tolerances.
Experience machining aluminium and stainless steel.
Competent in the use of precision measuring equipment.
Manual machining experience.
Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
Self-motivated with a flexible and proactive approach.
Desirable
Knowledge of modern CNC machine tool maintenance and troubleshooting.
Experience within aerospace, defence, nuclear, automotive or other precision engineering environments.
Familiarity with AS9100 quality requirements.
