How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    SEN Teaching Assistant - Specialist School

    Location: Newbury, Berkshire
    Start Date: ASAP
    Pay: £90 - £105 per day
    Hours: Full-Time

    A highly supportive specialist school in Newbury is looking for an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team ASAP.

    As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside experienced teachers and support staff to help pupils access their education while supporting their wider social, emotional and personal development.

    The role will involve:

    Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis
    Helping children with ASD, ADHD, learning difficulties and other additional needs
    Supporting pupils to access lessons and complete learning activities
    Encouraging communication, independence and social development
    Helping pupils manage emotions and develop positive behaviour
    Providing consistent encouragement and reassurance throughout the school day
    Creating a positive, safe and inclusive classroom environmentThe school places a strong emphasis on understanding each pupil as an individual and adapting support to their specific needs. You will have the opportunity to develop valuable practical experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant while working as part of a dedicated and collaborative team.

    This role would be ideal for a graduate, aspiring teacher, experienced Teaching Assistant or someone with previous experience working with children who is looking to move into a specialist SEN environment.
