How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting manufactured products and components to ensure they meet the required quality standards and specifications.

A key part of the position will involve carrying out detailed visual inspections, identifying defects, imperfections and non-conforming products before they progress through the manufacturing process or are released to the customer.

    Your responsibilities will include:

Carrying out detailed visual inspections of manufactured products and components
Identifying defects, damage, imperfections and quality issues
Checking products against drawings, specifications and agreed quality standards
Completing in-process and final quality inspections
Recording inspection results accurately and maintaining relevant quality documentation
Raising and reporting non-conformances when required
Working closely with production and quality teams to resolve quality concerns
Ensuring defective or non-conforming products are correctly identified and segregated
Supporting continuous improvement and maintaining high standards across the manufacturing operation
Following all company quality, health & safety and operating procedures
    The Ideal Candidate

    Previous visual inspection experience
Previous experience within a manufacturing, engineering or production environment
A strong eye for detail and the ability to identify small defects or inconsistencies
A good understanding of quality standards and inspection procedures
The ability to accurately complete inspection records and quality documentation
Good communication skills and the confidence to raise quality concerns
A methodical and organised approach to work
The ability to work both independently and as part of a wider manufacturing team
Experience using measuring or inspection equipment would be advantageous, although the key requirement is proven hands-on visual inspection experience within a manufacturing environment
