How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

An international law firm is seeking an Employment Associate with 3–6 years’ PQE to join its highly regarded Employment team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, covering maternity leave.

The team advises a sophisticated and diverse client base, including businesses, senior executives and entrepreneurs, across a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters.

The role offers a genuinely varied workload, including:

    • Day-to-day strategic employment and HR advice
    • Employment Tribunal litigation, acting for both claimants and respondents
    • Complex exits and senior executive advice
    • Restrictive covenants and confidentiality issues
    • Workplace investigations
    • Disciplinary, grievance and performance matters
    • Employment data protection and privacy, including DSARs
    • Transactional support, employment due diligence and TUPE
    • Employment status and worker status issues
    • Employment and partnership disputes
    • Drafting employment documentation, warranties and indemnities

You will have the opportunity to work closely with lawyers across a number of complementary practice areas and to become involved in commercially focused, cross-border and complex employment matters.

The successful candidate will be England & Wales qualified (or equivalent), with 3–6 years’ PQE and strong experience across both contentious and non-contentious employment work. Experience of conducting Employment Tribunal proceedings, transactional employment work and TUPE is essential.

The team is looking for someone who is confident working autonomously, commercially minded and able to manage a varied caseload, while also contributing effectively to a collaborative team environment.
