Our client, a successful chartered surveyors based in Leeds City Centre who specialise in the construction industry in both the private and public sectors are looking for a Entry Level Quantity Surveyor to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to start their career in quantity surveying with a company that offers structured training, professional support, and exposure to a wide variety of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents.
- Support all internal team members.
- Support the measurement and valuation of works in progress.
- Help in managing project costs to ensure they remain within budget.
- Prepare interim and final valuations, variations, and cost reports.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Gain experience with contract administration and procurement.
- Contribute to risk management and value engineering activities.
Requirements:
- A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline.
- Prior experience in an office environment within the property sector (desirable).
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work as part of a team and under your own initiative.
- A keen interest in the built environment and commitment to a career in quantity surveying.
