How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    International Commissioning Engineer

    To £47,000 BASIC EARN c£60,000 With Overtime & Expenses

    PLUS 10% Bonus + c11% Pension + Company Car/Van

    Home Based. Ref: 23222

    Commissioning Engineer - The Role:

    Responsibility for timely installation, and servicing of companies’ equipment
    Supervise installation contractors during equipment installation
    Complete Field Service and Installation / Maintenance Reports.
    Report defects and site modification to Engineering team to ensure accurate records and drawing are maintained in line with the company’s quality system.
    Liaise with customers to find out relevant information and keep them informed of work progress.
    Where required, solve practical problems: detect and repair system faults.
    Identify areas of improvement on equipment and liaise with Engineering / Manufacturing teams.
    Take equipment through to site acceptance tests
    Travel around the UK and Europe – expect to be away from home Monday-Friday if the site is not within travelling distance of home
    Commissioning Engineer - The Person:

    Electrically biased or MultiSkilled
    Electrical and /or Mechanical qualification C&G or equivalent
    Understand electrical schematics
    Understand mechanical drawing
    Fault finding and regular maintenance functions of mechanical assemblies, drives, pumps etc
    Familiarity with pneumatic, water, hydraulic & electrical systems and their functions
    Working knowledge of temperature control instrumentation, invertors PLC’s and HMIs
    Experience with fault finding PLC programs
    Role would be suitable for a Commissioning Engineer / Service Engineer / Maintenance Engineer from an Electro/Mechanical background keen and flexible for travel. You will get a great work-life balance with down time after each site visit.
