How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We are looking for an experienced Data Architect to support a Data Strategy Discovery engagement for a telecommunications client, covering Customer, Finance and Network domains.The role will assess the current data landscape, including an existing GCP BigQuery Data Lakehouse, and help define the target architecture, technology roadmap and governance framework.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Lead/support stakeholder interviews and workshops across business and technical teams.

    * Assess and document the current data landscape, platforms, systems, integrations and data flows.

    * Catalogue databases and data sources, identifying silos, duplication and data quality issues.

    * Assess the existing GCP/BigQuery Data Lakehouse, architecture, scalability and integration patterns.

    * Evaluate data governance, ownership, metadata, lineage, MDM, security and compliance.

    * Develop current-state assessments, architecture diagrams, data inventories and maturity assessments.

    * Define the high-level target data architecture, technology stack and governance framework.

    * Contribute to data ontology design for AI/analytics use cases and the overall data strategy roadmap.

    * Present findings and recommendations to senior client stakeholders and support stakeholder sign-off.

    * Use Python and LLMs where appropriate to automate analysis and build data/process tools.

    Skills & Experience

    * 5+ years in data architecture, data strategy or consulting/advisory.

    * Strong GCP / BigQuery and Data Lakehouse experience.

    * Strong knowledge of data modelling, ETL/ELT, data integration, migration and architecture.

    * Understanding of data governance, metadata, lineage, MDM and data quality.

    * Strong analytical skills across systems, data, processes and frameworks.

    * Experience building tools/processes using Python and LLMs.

    * Strong client-facing and stakeholder management experience, ideally at Architect, Analyst or DBA level.

    * Telecom or complex enterprise experience highly desirable.

    * Experience with wider GCP services, AI/ML data enablement and hybrid cloud migration would be advantageous.
