Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Senior Vehicle Shipping Operator to join their Felixstowe team.

Opportunity to take ownership of high-value and complex vehicle shipments Senior Vehicle Shipping Operator - Requirements
2-3+ years' experience in international car shipping, vehicle logistics, or motor vehicle transport
Experience handling vehicle imports and exports by sea, road, and air
Good knowledge of containerised and Ro-Ro vehicle movements
Strong understanding of customs procedures and import/export documentation
Experience with ATA Carnets, Carnet de Passage, temporary imports, and NOVA declarations
Knowledge of VAT and duty calculations
Understanding of IVA/SVA requirements would be advantageous
Dangerous Goods awareness
Experience using freight management systems; Multi Freight experience would be advantageous
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to communicate at all levels
Positive, proactive "go-getter" attitude with strong problem-solving skills
Calm under pressure and able to manage challenging situations
Commercially aware with good negotiation skills Senior Vehicle Shipping Operator - Responsibilities
Manage vehicle imports and exports from start to finish across sea, road, and air transport
Coordinate the movement of cars, motorcycles, and specialist vehicles throughout the UK, Europe, and international markets
Manage key customer accounts, including private owners, collectors, dealers, and car clubs
Liaise with overseas agents, shipping lines, carriers, vehicle packers, and transport providers
Manage customs documentation, import/export declarations, VAT, duty, and tariff requirements
Coordinate ATA Carnets, Carnet de Passage, temporary imports, and NOVA declarations
Provide guidance on customs requirements, trade compliance, and international vehicle shipping regulations
Prepare quotations, negotiate rates, and support commercial pricing decisions
Proactively manage delays, customs issues, disputes, and other shipment challenges
Ensure vehicles and documentation meet all relevant import and export requirements
Maintain accurate operational and financial records within the freight management system
Build strong relationships with customers, overseas partners, Border Force, and other relevant stakeholders
Identify opportunities to improve processes, customer service, and operational performance
Take ownership of high-value and complex shipments, ensuring they are delivered efficiently, compliantly, and to the highest standard About Us
