How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    DYNEX SEMICONDUCTOR LTD
Dynex Semiconductor Ltd has manufactured semiconductor products for over 60 years, supplying IGBT, SiC, Bipolar, Power Assembly and Electric Vehicle System products worldwide. We are a leading, independent manufacturer of high power, high-reliability electronic components, used in critical applications such as electric power transmission and distribution grids, railway transportation, marine propulsion, electric vehicles, renewable power generation and industrial motor drives. Our passionate, agile teams work on cutting-edge projects that shape the future of technology.
Exciting times are ahead as we expand our power module range from Si to wide bandgap (WBG). Driven by rapid growth in the WBG market across railway traction, HVDC, electric vehicle and data centre applications, we are investing more resources in this strategic field. This is a pivotal moment to join Dynex as the WBG Module Product Manager (WBG MPM), coordinating the whole product lifecycle: market and customer input, WBG product specification, product development, reliability engineering, quality control, manufacturing process, cost control and field application. You will bring the passion, technology background, communication skills and methodology awareness to ensure effective collaboration across departments and the success of this product line.

    THE OPPORTUNITY
This market and customer driven role is closely aligned with the company's future direction in WBG product development. As part of our strategic investment in this sector, it has the potential to develop towards WBG Product Line Manager and Product Line Director, depending on the revenue of the product line. You will drive the development of WBG power semiconductor modules (SiC and GaN) from initial market and customer input through to final product release, leading a project team of salespeople and application, R&D, procurement, quality, process development and test engineers, supported by their department leaders. Your duties will include:

Reporting to the R&D Director or Technical Director with regular product development updates, and to the senior management team on product line status, including market and customer analysis, product status, revenue/profit status and forecasts
Managing the whole lifecycle of the WBG module products to ensure comprehensive competitiveness, sales revenue, profit and close-loop of issues
Organising the functional project team, providing strong leadership and coordination for the commercial success of the product line; running periodic meetings to keep the core team aligned, and review meetings for quality gate control, issuing minutes and ensuring close-loop solutions
Taking first and foremost responsibility for WBG module product development across the company, following the advanced product quality planning (APQP) procedure: identifying risks in market/customer requirement, technology, process, quality and delivery, implementing risk management measures, and communicating with customers to realise the products' market value
Making and maintaining the WBG product project, estimating resource requirements and ensuring progress; taking responsibility for the overall quality, cost, revenue and deliverables; controlling project change and coordinating customer requirement change
Correctly executing authority in resource allocation, task assignment and progress control within the team, and escalating to senior management where major challenges, risks and failures are identified
Issuing the WBG product development plan according to market demand, customer requirement, competitors' offering and Dynex capability
    ABOUT YOU
We work closely together as a team, and are looking for a WBG MPM with strong coordination skills, motivation to succeed and a relevant technical background, ideally with more than 5 years' industrial experience in power modules. We offer support and development, so this role would suit an established technical engineer keen to lead a project team and expand their skills in product management. You will have:

A Bachelor's degree or above in electronics, electrical, mechanical or materials engineering, or a Physics related subject, with industrial experience in at least one of the following areas of power module packaging: design, simulation, processing, production, qualification and applications
Established understanding of WBG power module applications, market situation, technology development status and existing challenges
Experience with APQP or other advanced product development methodologies
Demonstratable experience in project management, risk management and scope change management; sophisticated methodology to respond to dynamics in market requirements, customer requirements and internal strategies; and the willingness to meet tight deadlines
Demonstratable good communication skills with colleagues, people in the same technology fields and potential customers
Willingness to travel a reasonable amount to visit customers and attend exhibitions and industrial meetings, strengthening customer connections and understanding their project requirements
Passion and an open mind towards new technologies, such as new product, process and tool introduction
Strong data analysis skills, including market, customer requirement, product line revenue, cost, production capacity, BOM and yield analysis
Good summary and presentation skills to explain complex technical ideas to audiences in other professional fields, enabling quick engagement with potential customers
Proven ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams with a proactive, can-do attitude
Capability in communication in both English and Mandarin would be favourable
You will be self-motivated, with a desire to develop high quality advanced power module packaging process technologies and introduce new packaging materials as part of a vibrant, multidisciplinary team, and confident taking the lead on engineering decisions that impact product performance and company growth.
