How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Male SEN Learning Support Assistant – Camberley

    Location: Camberley and Guildford Areas
    Position: SEN Learning Support Assistant
    Contract: Full-time, long-term
    Start Date: ASAP / September 2026
    Pay: £92.63 – £100 per day, depending on experience

    Are you passionate about supporting young people and making a real difference?

    Teaching Personnel are currently looking for a Male SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in the Camberley area.

    This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN), SEMH and behavioural needs, helping them overcome barriers to learning and develop their confidence and independence.

    The school is looking for someone who can build strong, positive relationships with students and act as a positive male role model where appropriate.

    The Role

    As a SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will:

    Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with additional needs

    Support students with SEN, SEMH, behavioural and learning needs

    Build positive and trusting relationships with students

    Encourage positive behaviour, emotional regulation and engagement

    Support students to access the curriculum and participate in lessons

    Help students develop their confidence, independence and social skills

    Work closely with teachers, the SENCO and pastoral team

    Implement individual support and behaviour strategies

    Provide reassurance and consistency for students who may struggle in a mainstream classroom

    Encourage students to overcome barriers and reach their full potential

    About You

    The ideal candidate will be:

    Male and passionate about supporting young people

    Patient, calm and empathetic

    Confident managing challenging behaviour

    A strong communicator who can build relationships quickly

    Resilient and consistent in their approach

    Able to remain calm under pressure

    Passionate about SEN and helping students succeed

    A positive role model who can encourage and motivate students

    Previous experience working with SEN, SEMH, behaviour, education, youth work, sports coaching or mentoring would be highly beneficial, although transferable experience will also be considered.
