How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Nursery Practitioner

    Salary: Up to £23,280 per annum
    Hours: 39 hours per week
    Contract: 1 Year Maternity - Term Time Only + 6 weeks
    Start Date: October

    Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a highly regarded independent school to recruit a passionate and dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join their thriving Nursery and Pre-School provision.

    About the Role

    As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play an important role in supporting the learning, development and wellbeing of children within the Early Years setting. Working as part of a supportive team, you will help provide a safe, stimulating and engaging environment in line with the EYFS framework.

    You will contribute to children's development through purposeful play, engaging activities and positive relationships, helping to give every child the best possible start to their education.

    Key Responsibilities

    Support children's learning and development through purposeful play and planned activities.
    Assist with the planning and delivery of an engaging EYFS curriculum.
    Observe, assess and record children's progress and development.
    Create a safe, stimulating and nurturing learning environment.
    Build positive relationships with children, colleagues and parents/carers.
    Work collaboratively as part of the wider Nursery and Early Years team.
    Promote children's emotional, social and physical wellbeing.

    The Ideal Candidate

    The school is looking for a Nursery Practitioner who is enthusiastic, caring and genuinely passionate about working with young children.

    You will ideally have:

    A Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
    Previous experience working with young children within an Early Years or Nursery setting.
    A strong understanding of children's development and the EYFS framework.
    A genuine passion for supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing.
    Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
    A nurturing, patient and positive approach.
