How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Field Service Engineer (Electrical / AV)

    London and surrounding areas

    £35,000 - £40,000 + Company Van + Overtime + Training

    Looking for a field-based engineering role where every day is different?

    We're recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to join one of the UK's leading specialists in the maintenance and repair of large-format LED displays and digital advertising screens.

    You'll work on some of the country's most recognisable outdoor digital displays, carrying out fault finding, repairs, and preventative maintenance to keep high-profile installations operating safely and effectively.

    No previous digital signage experience is required.

    If you have experience as a Field Service Engineer, Electrical Maintenance Engineer, AV Engineer, CCTV Engineer, Fire & Security Engineer, Installation Engineer, Telecoms Engineer, Service Technician, or a similar hands-on technical role, full product training will be provided.

    The Role

    As a Field Service Engineer, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing LED displays and digital advertising screens across London and the surrounding region.

    Working independently and alongside remote technical support teams, you'll diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and perform planned maintenance to ensure equipment remains fully operational.

    This role will suit someone who enjoys problem-solving, working autonomously, and taking ownership of their work.

    Key Responsibilities

    Reactive Maintenance & Fault Finding

    Respond to equipment breakdowns and service requests
    Diagnose electrical and electronic faults
    Repair and replace components to minimise downtime
    Liaise with technical support teams when required
    Ensure customer issues are resolved efficientlyPlanned Preventative Maintenance

    Carry out scheduled maintenance visits
    Inspect electrical and mechanical components
    Clean and maintain display equipment
    Identify potential issues before failures occur
    Complete maintenance reports and documentationSite & Health & Safety Responsibilities

    Always Work safely and professionally
    Follow company health and safety procedures
    Maintain accurate service records
    Ensure works are completed to high standardsParts & Equipment Management

    Maintain van stock and spare parts inventory
    Monitor stock levels and report shortages
    Return faulty equipment where required
