How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    A client of ours, a well-established construction company in Feering, Essex are recruiting a Document Controller to support their Design Manager with drawings, documentation and general administration.
    This is a full-time temporary to potentially permanent position, working Monday-Friday, either 8.00am-4.00pm or 9.00am-5.00pm (37.5 hours per week). The role is fully office based and the salary is negotiable depending on experience.

    Your key duties in this Document Controller role will include but are not limited to:

    Supporting the Design Manager with the day-to-day management of drawings, documentation and administration.
    Organising, maintaining and distributing drawings and design information, ensuring documents are accurate and up to date.
    Uploading and managing documents using the company's document management system, Procore.
    Maintaining accurate records and filing systems and ensuring the correct information is circulated to the relevant teams.
    Liaising with the Design Manager, project teams, contractors and other relevant parties as required.
    Providing general administrative support to the Design team and assisting with the smooth running of the department.Skills and Experience required to be considered for this role:

    Previous experience in document control, administration, coordination or a similar role.
    Strong IT skills and confidence in learning and using new computer systems.
    Excellent organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
    Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook.
    Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to liaise professionally with colleagues and external contacts.
    Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
