How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Are you an organised and proactive Helpdesk Coordinator with experience in facilities management, building services or a busy administrative environment?

    Our client is looking for a dependable Helpdesk Coordinator to join its Building Services team in Bristol. Working as part of a supportive team you will act as a central point of contact for facilities-related requests, coordinate maintenance activities and ensure jobs are completed within agreed service levels.

    This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied, fast-paced position where organisation, communication and attention to detail are essential.

    Key responsibilities

    Log and manage planned and reactive maintenance jobs using the CAFM system
    Monitor outstanding jobs and follow up with the relevant parties to ensure timely completion
    Help maintain compliance with contractual service level agreements
    Raise and track purchase orders associated with maintenance requests
    Coordinate contractor attendance and site-access arrangements
    Ensure contractors provide the required pre-start documentation before attending site
    Maintain accurate records and filing systems for compliance and audit purposes
    Communicate with contractors, internal teams and other stakeholders
    Provide general administrative support to the wider Facilities team when required

    About you

    You will ideally have:

    Previous experience within a helpdesk, facilities management, building services or administrative support position
    Experience using a CAFM system or similar job-tracking software
    Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
    Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
    Clear and professional communication skills
    A proactive and solution-focused approach
    The ability to remain calm and organised in a busy environment
    Confidence managing changing workloads and competing priorities
    A helpful and customer-focused manner
