How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Our client is a well-established and highly respected construction consultancy based in West London, specialising in the delivery of some of the capital's most prestigious high-end and luxury residential projects.
They are now looking to appoint an ambitious and commercially astute Associate Director / Projects Director to play a key role in leading the Quantity Surveying function and delivering an impressive portfolio of high-value projects.

    The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor, Associate or Associate Director who has a strong background within the high-end residential sector and is comfortable taking ownership of complex projects and client relationships.
    You will be responsible for:

Leading the commercial delivery of high-end residential construction and refurbishment projects.
Managing projects from early feasibility and cost planning through to final account.
Providing high-level cost advice and strategic commercial support to clients.
Leading and mentoring junior members of the Quantity Surveying team.
Managing client relationships and acting as a trusted commercial advisor.
Overseeing procurement strategies, tender processes and contractor negotiations.
Managing project budgets, cost reporting and financial risk.
Taking responsibility for contract administration and commercial management.
Working closely with Project Managers, Architects, Designers and Contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
Playing an active role in the continued growth and development of the Quantity Surveying team and wider business.

    The Candidate

The successful candidate will ideally have:

A strong Quantity Surveying background within a construction consultancy.
Significant experience delivering high-end, luxury or prime residential projects.
Experience managing projects independently from inception through to completion.
Strong client-facing and relationship management skills.
Experience leading and mentoring junior Quantity Surveyors.
Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
A proactive and ambitious approach, with the ability to take on increasing responsibility.
MRICS status would be highly desirable.

    The Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing and highly regarded consultancy with an exceptional reputation in the prime residential market.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on some of London's most prestigious residential projects while taking on a senior leadership role within the business.
You will be joining a collaborative and ambitious team where your expertise will be valued, and there is genuine scope to influence the direction and continued growth of the Quantity Surveying function.
