Flexible People Ltd are looking for experienced multidrop van drivers to work for one of our prestigious clients, based in Chessington.
Our client is a well-established catering and hospitality supplier, supplying customers across London and the South of England, including restaurants, bars and other hospitality businesses.
The Role – Van Driver
As a multidrop van driver, you will be responsible for delivering medium-weight goods to customers in a professional, polite and efficient manner.
The van driver will leave from the client's site in Chessington each morning and set off to complete their allocated delivery routes. Routes should generally be completed within an 8-hour driving day.
We are looking for an experienced van driver who is confident driving in London or an equally busy city and who understands the importance of providing excellent customer service.
As a van delivery driver, you will be dealing directly with customers, so you should be polite, well-mannered and professional at all times. Building good relationships and a strong rapport with customers is an important part of the van driver role.
Hours & Pay
* Monday to Friday
* Start time: 7am–8am
* Approximately 8–10 hours per day
* £14.00 per hour
* Full-time, ongoing contract
* Opportunity to become permanent following a successful probation period
Requirements
The successful van driver must:
* Have previous experience working as a van driver, preferably in London or an equivalently busy city
* Have experience driving a 3.5-tonne vehicle for a minimum of 2 years
* Be over the age of 21
* Have no more than 6 points on their driving licence
* Have no DD, DR or NI convictions
* Be able to speak and understand English
* Be able to follow instructions and directions
* Be polite, well-mannered and professional when dealing with customers
* Be able to attend an interview in Chessington
* Be able to easily commute to Chessington
