How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Site Engineer - Major Commercial Development

    Location: London Bridge, Central London

    Employment Type: Permanent

    Positions Available: Two

    Project Value: Approximately £100m

    Project Type: New-build office development

    Salary: Competitive salary and package

    The Role

    Two Site Engineers are required to support the technical delivery of a major £100m new-build office development in Central London

    .

    The successful candidates will provide engineering, setting-out and quality-control support from the early structural stages through to completion. They will work closely with the Site Managers, design consultants and subcontractors to ensure construction is delivered accurately and in accordance with the project information.

    Key Responsibilities

    Undertake setting out and surveying across the project.
    Establish, check and maintain site control.
    Verify line, level and dimensional accuracy.
    Review construction drawings and identify technical discrepancies.
    Coordinate technical matters with designers, consultants and subcontractors.
    Raise, monitor and close out RFIs.
    Complete inspections and maintain accurate QA documentation.
    Produce as-built surveys and construction records.
    Support temporary-works planning and coordination.
    Monitor subcontractor work against drawings and specifications.
    Assist with concrete, structural-frame, drainage and external-works packages.
    Ensure technical information is available ahead of construction activities.
    Support Site Managers and the wider project-delivery team.
    Promote safe working practices across all engineering activities.

    Candidate Requirements

    Relevant civil engineering, construction or related qualification.
    Previous Site Engineer experience with a recognised main contractor.
    Strong setting-out and surveying capabilities.
    Experience working on major new-build construction projects.
    Competent in the use of modern surveying equipment.
    Good understanding of drawings, specifications and QA procedures.
    Experience with structural frames, concrete, drainage or external works.
    Strong technical problem-solving and communication skills.
    CSCS qualification is required
