Our client, a leading fleet management consultancy based in Flitwick, is expanding and looking to recruit a Vehicle Management Controller to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Vehicle Technician, Workshop Controller, Diagnostic Technician, Service Advisor or automotive professional with strong technical knowledge to utilise their expertise in a rewarding fleet environment.

The Role
As a Fleet Maintenance Controller, you will be responsible for managing vehicle repairs and maintenance across a fleet operation, ensuring repairs are necessary, cost-effective and completed efficiently.
Your responsibilities will include:
Reviewing repair requests submitted via the company's internal system
Assessing repairs to ensure they are required and appropriately costed
Checking labour times and repair recommendations
Authorising repairs and managing the repair process from start to finish
Monitoring vehicle downtime and ensuring jobs progress efficiently
Liaising with garages, workshops and repair providers
Arranging hire or replacement vehicles where required
Keeping drivers informed with regular repair updates
Maintaining accurate records and updating internal systems
Building strong relationships with repairers, drivers and clients
About You
We are keen to speak with candidates who have:
Strong automotive technical knowledge
Experience within a workshop, service or aftersales environment
The ability to assess repairs and labour times
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Good IT and administrative abilities
A professional and customer-focused approach
The ability to manage multiple jobs at once
Previous fleet experience would be advantageous but is not essential, as comprehensive training will be provided.
