How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    M&E Site Manager - Braintree

    Start: October 2026 Duration: 4-5 Months January 2027

    A leading design-and-build contractor, delivering comprehensive solutions spanning design, installation, and project management. Our services cover project planning, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health Engineering systems, with a strong focus on renewable energy technologies.

    The Role

    We're looking for an experienced and highly motivated M&E Site Manager to oversee the installation of mechanical and electrical services on a major new-build project comprising three warehouse units in Braintree. You'll play a key role in driving quality, safety, and timely delivery throughout construction, working closely with subcontractors and the main contractor from site setup through to practical completion.

    What You'll Be Doing

    Managing site inductions and supervising subcontractors, ensuring compliance with risk assessments and method statements
    Carrying out and documenting equipment safety checks
    Delivering daily Toolbox Talks to reinforce health and safety standards
    Monitoring progress against the project programme, adjusting schedules to meet deadlines
    Ensuring all works comply with contract drawings and specifications
    Conducting and recording quality inspections of installations
    Providing regular progress reports to M&E Contracts Managers
    Maintaining effective daily communication with the main contractorWhat We're Looking For

    Proven knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
    SMSTS or SSSTS certification
    CSCS Gold Card or higher
    Experience using the Dalux system
    Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    Demonstrated experience on commercial projects
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
    Telehandler Licence - Not necessary but desirable
