How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Are you a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant ready to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with additional learning needs?

    Reeson Education are seeking a reliable and empathetic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a nurturing and supportive educational setting in the Sheffield (S9) area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong communication skills, experience in education, or a genuine passion for helping young learners thrive.

    About the Role:
    You will provide personalised one-to-one and small-group support to pupils, helping them access learning, promoting independence, and supporting their emotional, behavioural, and academic development. You will encourage participation, follow structured support plans, and help create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Personalised Support: Provide focused academic and emotional assistance based on individual needs.
    Daily Learning Assistance: Support with class tasks, adapted resources, and small-group activities.
    Behaviour & Emotional Support: Use supportive strategies to promote positive behaviour, engagement, and resilience.
    Progress Monitoring: Record key observations and communicate updates to teaching staff.
    Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues, parents, and external professionals.To succeed as an SEN TA, you will need:

    Previous experience in a school, childcare, or support setting.
    Patience, empathy, and the ability to build trusting relationships.
    Strong communication skills and confidence in following learning and behaviour plans.
    A proactive, flexible, and encouraging approach to supporting learners.
    An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply through Reeson Education.Benefits:
