How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Senior Site Manager – Permanent

    Location: Central East Scotland
    Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
    Type: Permanent

We’re currently recruiting on behalf of a leading Tier 1 main contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Site Manager on a permanent basis.

This is a great opportunity for a Senior Site Manager with a strong new-build Tier 1 background who is looking to take ownership of projects from the early stages right through to completion.

We’re looking for someone who understands what it takes to get a project out of the ground, build momentum and drive it through to successful completion.

    The Role

As Senior Site Manager, you’ll take a leading role in the delivery of projects from initial mobilisation and groundworks through to completion and handover.

You’ll be responsible for coordinating the site team, subcontractors and wider supply chain, ensuring the project is delivered safely, efficiently, to programme and to the required quality standards.

This is a hands-on delivery role for someone who takes ownership and is confident leading a project through all stages of construction.

    Key Responsibilities

Lead the delivery of new-build projects from mobilisation through to completion and handover
Take ownership of day-to-day site operations and overall construction delivery
Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and the wider supply chain
Drive programme, productivity and quality throughout the project lifecycle
Manage construction sequencing and site logistics
Ensure works are delivered safely and in accordance with project requirements
Work closely with the Project Manager, design and commercial teams
Identify and resolve issues proactively to maintain progress
Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors
Lead, manage and develop the site team
Ensure the project is delivered to the required programme, quality and safety standards

    About You

    Ideally, you will have:

Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager with a Tier 1 main contractor
    Strong new-build construction experience
A track record of taking projects from early stages/groundworks through to completion
Excellent knowledge of construction sequencing and project delivery
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage large site teams and supply chains
A proactive and hands-on approach to problem solving
The ability to take ownership and drive a project forward
    Excellent communication and organisational skills
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who can take a project from the ground up and see it through to completion — someone who can establish the right standards early, build a strong team around them and maintain momentum throughout the project.

    What's on Offer?

Permanent position with a leading Tier 1 main contractor
Major new-build projects across Central East Scotland
    Competitive salary and benefits package
    Long-term career development and progression
Opportunity to take ownership of projects from start to finish
If you’re a Senior Site Manager with strong Tier 1 new-build experience and a proven track record of delivering projects from the early stages through to completion, we’d like to hear from you.
