How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Senior Hardware / Electronics Product Lead required for a stealth hardware company in London, backed by top investors and preparing for Series A and building groundbreaking physical technology.

The current VP of Engineering is looking for a technical engineer, who can still be hands-on with electronics engineering, and has the business savvy to own the complete product lifecycle from initial sketch to full factory ramp-up.

This is not a purely isolated design role. You will bridge the gap between hard engineering and product delivery, taking full ownership off the leadership team's plate.

    Responsibilities:

    *

Total Product Ownership: You won’t just design circuits in a vacuum; you will own architecture, prototyping, supply chain, quality control, and mass manufacturing for multiple novel consumer products.

    *

Flat, High-Impact Structure: Zero line-management bureaucracy, but genuine project leadership. You’ll guide a tight-knit London engineering team of ~10 and influence how our entire hardware organization scales.

    *

Genuinely Groundbreaking Tech: You get to solve hard physical challenges and see your work deployed in significant market volumes.

    Requirements:

    *

End-to-End Track Record: You have personally taken complex physical hardware products all the way from idea to prototype to factory floor to high-volume production.

    *

Hands-On Engineering Depth: Fluent across analogue/digital design, PCB bring-up, microcontrollers, sensor integration, power management, and DFM/DFT.

    *

Production & Quality Control: Deep understanding of manufacturing partners, yield optimization, hardware validation, and rigorous production environments.

    *

Commercial & Leadership Mindset: You understand the business side of product engineering - deadlines, supply chains, and design trade-offs.

    Nice-to-Haves:

    *

Degree from an elite engineering university (Oxbridge, Imperial, UCL, etc.).

    *

Exposure to wearables, medical devices, IoT, automotive, or high-reliability consumer electronics.

If you’re a hands-on engineer who thinks like a product founder and wants to shape a high-volume hardware portfolio, let’s talk. Send a resume or message for a confidential conversation today
