How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    £22.87 per hour | Full time | Days | Nights | St Teresa's, Penzance

    Your working hours

    42 hours per week ( 3 x 12 hours + 1 x 6 hour early or late)
    You’ll need to be flexible to cover annual leave and sickness.

    Shifts include:

    * Night shifts: 7:30pm - 8.00am

    * Day shifts: 7.30am - 8.00pm

    Enhanced pay: £1.00 per hour will only apply to night working (8pm Monday to 7am Friday) and weekend working (8pm Friday to 7am Monday). This does not apply to Sleep-Ins.

    What you’ll do

    * Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate personalised care plans

    * Lead, supervise and support a team of care staff

    * Administer and manage medicines safely

    * Provide nursing support in line with NMC guidelines and best practice

    * Monitor health and wellbeing, responding quickly to any changes

    * Support daily living tasks, promoting independence, dignity and choice

    * Liaise with families, health professionals and other agencies

    * Maintain accurate records and comply with all regulatory requirements

    You’ll receive full induction, training, and ongoing professional development.

    What helps you shine here

    * NMC registered nurse (essential)

    * Nursing experience in a residential/nursing home setting (essential)

    * A caring, empathetic and professional approach

    * Good leadership, communication and teamwork skills

    * Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and on-call

    * Experience in disability, residential or complex care nursing (advantageous but not essential)
