We are currently recruiting for an experienced Service Engineer to join a leading organisation within the security industry. This is a field-based role, offering variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to work with a wide range of modern security technologies.
The Role:
As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for attending both pre-planned and reactive callouts, ensuring the effective maintenance and repair of security systems across residential and commercial sites.
* Diagnose and resolve faults across security systems, restoring functionality efficiently.
* Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on intruder alarms, CCTV, fire alarms, and access control systems.
* Respond to emergency callouts and pre-arranged service visits.
* Monitor alarm activations and investigate issues, taking appropriate action.
* Recommend and implement system upgrades and improvements.
* Provide technical support to customers both remotely and on-site.
* Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
* Ensure all work complies with industry standards and company procedures.
Requirements:
* Proven experience working as a Service Engineer within Fire or Security.
* Strong knowledge of intruder alarms.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Good understanding of CCTV, access control, and fire alarms.
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
Additional Information as a Security Service Engineer:
* Field-based role with travel to customer sites. (Company van and fuel card included)
* Participation in an out-of-hours call rota - including weekends and bank holidays (Standby rate paid and commission paid on top if you have to visit a client's house)
Salary up to £45k with an OTE of £58k.
