Senior Ecologist

A respected and growing environmental consultancy based in Tetbury is seeking an experienced Senior Ecologist to join its expanding team. Located in the heart of the Cotswolds, the practice delivers high-quality ecological and environmental services across the South West and beyond. The Senior Ecologist will;

Lead a diverse portfolio of ecological projects from tender to completion

Undertake and oversee protected species surveys and habitat assessments

Deliver high-quality technical reports, EcIAs, and Biodiversity Net Gain strategies

Provide expert ecological advice to clients, planners, and design teams

Mentor junior ecologists and contribute to team development

Support business development and maintain strong client relationships

You will ideally have;

Strong field survey experience and sound botanical knowledge

Expertise in UK wildlife legislation and planning policy

Experience producing EcIA and BNG assessments

Protected species licences (desirable)

Membership of CIEEM (or working towards)

Excellent communication, organisation, and project management skills
