How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    About the Role

    We are looking for a proactive, motivated and experienced Candidate Consultant to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

    You will be responsible for sourcing, attracting, screening and onboarding high-quality care professionals to support our growing community care services. This will include recruiting Mental Health Support Workers, Registered Mental Health Nurses (RMNs) and Complex Care Support Workers across services including CAMHS, Adult Supported Living and Physical Complex Care.

    You will manage candidates throughout the recruitment journey, ensuring they receive a positive and professional experience while meeting all required compliance, regulatory and service-specific requirements.

    Key Duties

    Build and manage a strong candidate pipeline based on skills, experience, location and availability.

    Source, attract and conduct initial screening of suitable candidates.

    Provide candidates with a clear, responsive and supportive recruitment journey.

    Maintain regular contact with candidates, addressing queries and preventing unnecessary delays or drop-off.

    Work closely with the Onboarding team to ensure all compliance, training and safer recruitment requirements are completed.

    Arrange and facilitate meet-and-greets with relevant care teams.

    Provide clear handovers to Care Coordination regarding candidate experience, skills, availability and suitability.

    Support candidates and Care Coordination throughout the deployment process.

    Meet agreed KPIs across engagement, onboarding, clearance and conversion.

    Identify reasons candidates decline, withdraw or stall and suggest improvements to the recruitment process.

    Maintain accurate candidate and compliance records.

    Work in line with CQC requirements, internal policies and quality standards.

    Essential Requirements

    Experience in recruitment, candidate management or workforce engagement.

    Experience managing candidate pipelines and onboarding journeys.

    Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

    Excellent organisation, follow-up and attention to detail.

    Ability to address concerns and maintain candidate engagement.

    Experience working towards KPIs and using recruitment, onboarding or workforce management systems.

    Understanding of confidentiality and regulatory compliance.

    Proactive, confident and results-focused approach.

    Desirable:

    Experience recruiting within healthcare or social care.

    Knowledge of CQC and safer recruitment requirements.

    Experience converting agency workers into permanent or bank staff.
