How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager at a 12-bed residential service in Bridlington.

    The service supports adults with Prader Willi Syndrome, dual diagnosis and complex needs, providing a safe, structured and person-centred environment. The people supported are encouraged to build independence, develop daily living skills and achieve their personal goals, with a range of activities taking place both within the service and in the local community.

    We are looking for an experienced care professional with a background in adult social care who is ready to take the next step in their leadership career. This is a hands-on leadership role, working actively alongside the team on the rota while also having dedicated time for office-based responsibilities.

    Working closely with the Registered Manager, families, professionals and other stakeholders, you will help ensure the people supported receive high-quality care and achieve positive outcomes.

    Key Responsibilities of a Deputy Manager:

    Support the Registered Manager in the effective day-to-day running of the service.
    Support the delivery of safe, effective and person-centred care.
    Maintain high standards across the service.
    Coach, motivate and develop colleagues, helping to create a positive and high-performing team culture.
    Assist with the effective management of rotas, resources and operational processes.
    Work actively across the service rota alongside the wider team.
    Support the development of colleagues and help them achieve positive outcomes.
    Help oversee operational processes and promote a positive and inclusive culture.
    Work closely with families, professionals and other stakeholders.
    Support the people we support to develop independence and daily living skills.
    Contribute to audits, action planning and quality improvement activities where required.
    Key requirements of a Deputy Manager:
    Experience working in adult social care, ideally within a leadership or senior support role.
    NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
    Strong understanding of CQC standards, safeguarding and person-centred support.
    Experience supporting people with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Acquired Brain Injuries or Mental Health needs.
    Strong leadership, communication and relationship-building skills.
    Confidence managing rotas, systems and day-to-day service operations.
    Ability to support, motivate and develop colleagues to achieve positive outcomes.
    Good organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
    Willingness to work towards or complete a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Adult Care is desirable.
    Experience undertaking audits, action planning and quality improvement activities is desirable.
    Full UK Driving Licence is desirable.Benefits:
