How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We are an established Financial Services company seeking a Part Time Broker Support Assistant to join our team. You will join us on a 12-month fixed term contract, working 4 days a week to cover maternity leave.

    We can offer the opportunity to join our Head Office in Fleet working 9am to 5pm hybrid working pattern available after completion of an initial training period.     As a Broker Support Assistant, your role provides support to our intermediary partners and the sales process through answering our front-line telephone enquiries, live chat and managing our intermediary database. In summary you will ensure all inbound traffic via phone, email, and live chat are managed and dealt with efficiently and effectively.

    This role would suit candidates with experience working within the financial services sector, ideally with mortgage experience, however we would also consider candidates from an estate agency or property development background. Candidates should have previously worked in a similar customer service or sales support role delivering proactive customer service and reactive sales support, where you are dealing with a clients and customers over the phone, via email and live chat.

    The key responsibilities are:
    • Take responsibility for incoming telephone calls, emails and live chat from brokers and intermediaries, resolving enquires and queries to their satisfaction.
    • Provide technical expertise to intermediaries on the company’s products and underwriting criteria. Providing technical support to intermediaries and problem solve intermediary portal issues.
    • Work with and support the rest of the Sales team
    • Maintain the intermediary database and set up new companies ensuring all internal processes are followed.
    • Liaise with other Operations departments for pre- and post-sale queries.
    • Work collaboratively with all areas of the business.
    • Take responsibility for regularly updating own knowledge on company products, processes and procedures to provide the best information at all times.
    • Understand and keep up to date on our competitor’s products.
    • Support team members across sales and the whole business to meet service standards and achieve results.

    To be successful for the Part Time Broker Support Assistant you will have previous experience working within financial services ideally in the mortgage sector and have strong customer service, sales support and administration skills delivering proactive customer service where you are used to juggling a high workload and are dealing with a range of clients and customers over the phone, via email and live chat. Experience within a regulatory organisation working in a compliant and regulatory manner would be an advantage. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential. You will be PC literate with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
