How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Structural Engineer - Mixed-Use Developments

    Norwich | Consultancy | 4+ Years' Experience

Ready to shape the places where people live, work and connect?

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an ambitious structural engineer to join an established consultancy in Norwich, working on an exciting portfolio of mixed-use developments across the region and beyond.

This is a role for a structural engineer who enjoys more than simply producing calculations. You'll be involved in projects from concept through to delivery, helping turn ambitious architectural ideas into safe, efficient and buildable structures.

    The Opportunity

As a structural engineer, you'll work alongside talented engineers, architects and construction professionals on a diverse range of developments - from residential-led schemes and commercial spaces to larger, complex mixed-use projects.

You'll have the opportunity to take real ownership of your work, develop client relationships and contribute to design decisions that have a tangible impact on the built environment.

    What We're Looking For

We're looking for a structural engineer with 4+ years' experience within a consultancy environment, ideally with experience across reinforced concrete, steel and masonry structures.

    You'll bring:

Strong structural design and analysis skills
Experience working on building structures and mixed-use developments
Confidence using relevant structural design software
The ability to communicate clearly with clients and project teams
A practical, commercially aware approach to engineering
Ambition to develop your career and take on increasing responsibility

    Why Join?

This is an opportunity to join a consultancy where your experience will genuinely count. You'll be trusted with meaningful projects, given the space to develop professionally and surrounded by people who are passionate about delivering great engineering.

For the right structural engineer, there is plenty of scope to progress, broaden your project experience and play a key role in the continued growth of the team.

If you're an experienced structural engineer looking for your next challenge in Norwich - and want to work on projects that are shaping the future of the built environment - we'd love to hear from you.

All enquiries will be treated in confidence
