How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Description

    About Scrumconnect Consulting
Scrumconnect Consulting is a multi-award-winning digital consultancy, recognised for delivering impactful and innovative technology solutions across UK government departments. Our work has positively influenced the lives of over 40 million UK citizens.
We are passionate about user-centred design, agile delivery, and building digital services that make a real difference. Our teams work at the forefront of innovation, helping organisations transform and deliver high-quality, scalable solutions that truly matter.

    Role Overview

The Head of HR will lead the HR function across the business, owning the people strategy end-to-end — spanning employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, compliance, learning and development, employee engagement, and HR operations. This is a senior leadership role, reporting into [Executive/Board level], responsible for building and leading the HR team, advising the leadership team on all people matters, and ensuring our HR strategy directly supports business growth and commercial objectives.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Develop and lead the overall HR strategy in line with business goals.

    * Lead and develop the HR team and advise senior leadership on people matters.

    * Oversee employee relations, grievances, disciplinary matters, engagement and wellbeing.

    * Own the performance management framework, including KPIs, reviews and development plans.

    * Lead talent acquisition and workforce planning, including senior and leadership hiring.

    * Oversee HR policies, UK employment law, GDPR, payroll, benefits and HR operations.

    * Set the strategic direction for learning, development and career progression.

    * Drive organisational development, succession planning and DEI initiatives.

    * Act as a strategic HR business partner to senior leadership and the Board.

    * Support organisational growth, culture, accountability and continuous improvement.

    Key Requirements

    * Degree in HR, Business Administration or related field.

    * CIPD Level 7 – essential.

    * 8+ years of UK HR experience, including Head/Senior HR experience.

    * Experience building and leading HR teams.

    * Strong knowledge of UK employment law and complex employee relations.

    * Proven experience developing and implementing HR strategy.

    * Experience with end-to-end recruitment and senior hiring.

    * Consultancy, technology or fast-growing organisation experience desirable.

    * Strong commercial, communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills

    Our values:

    * Collaboration: We are stronger as a team than as individuals. We tackle problems and celebrate wins together.

    * Create Value Early: We find the quickest route from idea to product, because the people we serve rely on us to do what's best.

    * Integrity: Teamwork requires trust. We can always be relied upon to uphold the highest standards.

    * Commitment: No matter what, no matter how, we give our full effort to keeping our promises and achieving our goals.

    Diversity and Inclusion

At Scrumconnect Consulting, we believe that diversity drives innovation and better outcomes. We are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where every individual is valued, respected and supported.

We warmly welcome applications from candidates of all backgrounds, and particularly encourage women and people from other underrepresented groups to apply, including people with disabilities, diverse communities, and those seeking flexible working arrangements. You don't need to meet every point above to be a great fit; we'd love to hear from you if this role resonates.

As a Disability Confident Level 1 employer, we are committed to providing reasonable adjustments throughout the recruitment process and during employment, to ensure equal opportunities for all
