MOT Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled MOT Technician to join a well-established, family-run garage in Wigan. This is an excellent MOT Technician opportunity for a qualified professional to work within a reputable business known for its friendly environment and dedication to quality service. The successful individual will be responsible for performing vehicle servicing, repairs, and MOT testing to the highest standards, supporting the team and delivering exceptional customer satisfaction.

Monday to Friday working pattern, 8:30am to 5:00pm

Conduct comprehensive vehicle servicing, repairs and diagnostics
Perform MOT testing and ensure vehicles comply with safety and emissions standards
Carry out routine maintenance including brake work, engine repairs, and component replacements
Utilise diagnostic tools and technical manuals to efficiently identify faults
Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used
Work collaboratively with team members to ensure customer satisfaction
Adhere to health and safety regulations within the workshop environmentRequirements of a MOT Technician  :

Qualified to Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent
Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician with at least 4 years in a busy workshop environment 
MOT Tester certification is essential
Strong diagnostic skills with the ability to detect faults accurately
Ability to produce high-quality work under pressure
Excellent team player with effective communication skills
